What do you do with intentionality during Lent? Lent is a season set apart for reflection, fasting, and repentance. During these 40+ days of intentional deprivation, we are invited to grow deeper in trust. This is a season to prepare ourselves for those times in life where we are intimately aware that we lack something essential. Our tendency is to resist these seasons of loss, but during Lent we are invited to do something radical: we are invited to welcome them. Instead of denying, resisting, or rebelling against our losses, in Lent, we practice accepting them, even welcoming them. When we do, God can accomplish tremendous transformation and growth in our spiritual lives.
